Even the sturdiest of monuments
Subjected to wear and tear
Floods and fire
Earthquakes and thunderstorms
May rumble crumble even fall
And eventually be even forgotten
But never shall I leave the thoughts of man
Even if it was due to man I fall
For even the lowest of humans
Treading on this planet
Have an insatiable hunger
A hunger for knowledge
May it be for good or bad
The hunger dominates always
And until that hunger dies and mankind dies
Live shall I in the depths of the soul
For knowledge was never obtained with ease
And no matter what technology may
replace
Never can they undermine
The power held within
Libraries and books!
