Awaiting death

The blazing fire did not seem bright

As darkness was closing in

It seemed to take its own pace

As it was not in haste

Some find that grateful

Yet, it wasn't so for the one by the chair

For the one gazing into the fire

Wished that darkness fell soon

For, he found darkness inviting

Much more inviting

As his days of light have passed

Thus he wished to be at peace

Found amidst the darkness with ease
